Dr. Tracie L. Keesee Announced as Project Director of DOJ National Initiative for Building Community Trust and Justice

The National Initiative for Building Community Trust and Justice is pleased to announce the hire of Tracie L. Keesee, PhD, as project director. The National Initiative is a U.S. Department of Justice project led by the National Network for Safe Communities at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and with Yale Law School, UCLA, and the Urban Institute as principal partners. It is designed to improve relationships and increase trust between minority communities and the criminal justice system, as well advance the public and scholarly understandings of the issues contributing to those relationships. Justice Department Announces National Effort to Build Trust Between Law Enforcement and the Communities They Serve

Attorney General Eric Holder announced today the launch of the Justice Department’s National Initiative for Building Community Trust and Justice.
